We offer separate boarding facilities for cats and dogs so our feline friends can have a little peace and quiet during their stay.

About Our Pet Boarding Facilities

We take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable facility for your pet. Our boarding area is temperature-controlled and spacious, and your pet receives frequent care and attention from our friendly, compassionate staff. We offer canine and feline condos, as well as traditional kennels.

Our 5 indoor dog condos have wrought iron entry doors and are furnished with day beds and elevated feeding bowls. Our 24-hour attendants will provide constant care for your pet and all dogs leave their condos at three times during the day and night to walk and play in our large yard.

All cat condos have climbing perches for your pampered pet to relax or gazing into the condo lobby. From the rear of the condos, friendly felines can play with doctors and staff while they walk through the hallways.

Our kennels consist of stainless steel and are stationed throughout the hospital. 

Pets will be boarded primarily in condos, but any pet found damaging a condo will be moved into a kennel for their safety. Kennel prices will apply to remaining days. 

What to Expect

Should any medical problems arise during your pet’s stay, you can have peace of mind that our veterinarians will make sure they are treated appropriately. Any pet exhibiting distress will be moved to medical observation for care. Medical Observation prices will apply to remaining days.

Collars and leashes will be removed upon arrival and left with the owner. Pet Care Center Chalmette provides bedding, leashes and bowls during your pet’s stay. Pet Care Center Chalmette will not be responsible for damage or loss of left articles.

Pet Boarding Requirements

All boarding guests must be up-to-date on vaccinations. If your pet requires any vaccinations before staying with us, we are happy to provide the vaccines for an additional fee.

We require dogs to be up-to-date on:

• Canine Distemper/Parvovirus
• Rabies
• Bordetella (Kennel Cough) 
• Fecal Test within 12 months of the Boarding reservation 
• Currently on monthly flea/tick preventative

We require cats to be up-to-date on:

• Feline Distemper
• Rabies vaccines

Requirement for boarding all pets on medication:

• All patient medications are to be brought in their original containers with the labels/instructions on them.

Reservations are preferred, especially during holidays, but we can generally accommodate last-minute or emergency boarding needs. 

Drop-off and Pick-up times are from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Special circumstances may apply during hurricane season, read our Hurricane Policy to learn more.

• Access to veterinary services: Wellness exams or other medical services can be scheduled during your pet’s stay if needed.
• Open communication: Our team is always happy to answer questions about our boarding facilities, policies, and your pet’s individual care plan.
